A written suggestion here, where I am now typing says: 'write here why did you choose this area'. I can ensure you that I have accurately chosen the place where in 2008 I bought the ruins of this dwelling: I chose it because it is located in a strategic tourist place:
- there are plenty of trulli farmhouse in this part of Apulia, many of them are located in areas closer to the sea but most of them are west of Oustuni hub, where all traffic must pass through to reach the sea at east. As a matter of fact, in July, August, passing through the town of Ostuni from west to east represents a great waste of time due to the traffic jam;
- my trullo is close to the Adriatic sea at east (highlights are the white sand beaches of the Torre Guaceto Marine Reserve) but also to the Ionio sea at west (sand beaches of Campo Marino, Torre Collimena and Punta Prosciutto);
- many are the possibilities of daily tours by car in the historic villages around, including Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Ceglie Messapica, Grottaglie...
mind that all singular towns I have quoted present all original characteristics that make them unique and each of them worths doing a visit ;
- even if my dwelling is immersed in a vast territory spotted only by small rural villages, the direct highway from Brindisi to Taranto permits anyone landing in Brindisi airport to hire a car and reach it in less than half hour. You have to add about one hour if the chosen landing airport is in Bari;
