Had s great time here, beautiful farm, well kept, comfortable beds. Kids and adults enjoyed the animals on the farm. We also enjoyed the pool, but be sure to bring the sunscreen ! Brad was a great host!
A Cozy Farm Experience
We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Coulter Farmstead. Not only was the cabin clean, interesting, and full of that antique feel, but being able to experience the entire farm was the real takeaway. The dogs had a litter of puppies that our kids just watched and held the entire visit! There were cute piglets running around! All the animals were fun for both us and the kids. And while there were animals, the farm was very clean and well kept. The in ground pool was awesome at the end of the day!! Bradley was kind and very hospitable. The cabin is about 25 minutes to Crater of Diamonds, which was our main reason to come to the area. This was an amazing experience that I'd recommend to anyone!
A Step Back in Time
Loved our stay at Coulter Farmstead. Visited with the farm animals, woke to the roosters and loved the attention to detail in the cabin. A great and unique experience. A definite must stay while traveling through historical Washington.
more than 5 stars deserved
beautiful everything. natural beauty, manmade beauty. couldn't have been better. well if it had been sunny i'd have loved to get in the pool. but the cabin was way better than I ever expected. The beds were exceptional. the breakfast was great, there were a cool collection of games that my 4 yr old granddaughter woke up today (back at home) wanting to play. Also a feeling of safety and calmness that sometimes on vacation is hard to achieve. I could go on and on but all in all I highly recommend an experience here if at all possible.
What an amazing place! Beautiful, peaceful and located in a great, historical location.
Exceeded my expectations!
A beautiful cabin on an old homestead.
Bradley, the host, was terrific. Gave us lots of good info about the area and let us wander around the farm and enjoy the animals. The cabin was very cute and clean. Bradley bought breakfast to us both mornings and we could choose a time between 7 and 9. Be ready for the roosters to crow in the mornings. But I couldn't have thought of a better alarm clock. I liked everything about the place.
You should be aware that we had planned on two beds and I have to say that the bed in the loft is not for wimps or people with fear of heights. There is a sturdy ladder to get to the loft but I'd say you need to be in decent shape to tackle it. By the 2nd day I was a pro and felt pretty comfortable. Also, the tub is an old fashioned one with a hand shower. It worked well but you need to manage to get in and out of the tub. I guess I am saying that this is probably not the best spot for someone who is handicapped or physically challenged in some way.
The location is great for exploring this part of Arkansas, particularly Old Washington, Hope, Nashville or Texarkana. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a wonderful porch with chairs to rock on and a fireplace to enjoy on cooler nights. There was a Kureg machine with a variety of coffee and hot chocolate selections. There was also a full sized fridge and a kitchen stocked with cooking supplies.
All in all, we loved this place and would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Thanks Bradly if you are reading this review.
