Best VRBO ever for our family
We’ve enjoyed many VRBO vacations... but this one was our favorite!
❤️ We loved it.!
A beautiful home away from home. A great place for our family reunion. Shaune and Greg were both very helpful checking in and making sure everything was going well. The sunrises are amazing and the barn lots of fun. Would definitely recommend
Beautiful, comfortable home; gorgeous location
It's the details that count, and hosts Shaune and Greg have thought of them all. The kitchen is fully equipped for the casual or the gourmet cook. The bedrooms are all super comfy. The living room has comfortable seating for 4 or 5. And the barn is a rainy-day lifesaver! So much to do! The back deck is comfortably kitted out for lazy time reading and watching the water. And the whole property is postcard-perfect-pretty. Decor throughout is charming, with lots of local touches--lovely artwork and a great selection of books to read. And there are two modern, well-equipped bathrooms--the one on the main floor perfect for showering off when you come in from a swim. Location is perfect--so convenient to Lunenburg, Rose Bay (Sand Dollar and Hirtle's Beaches) and LaHave. We loved it, and we will definitely be back.
Kim and co., so pleased you enjoyed your stay, and we look forward to see you again.
All the best,
Shaune and Greg
Fantastic mix of old world charm and farmhouse industrial!
The blue house had everything our family of five needed. From mornings out on the water in kayaks to evening games nights or movies, there was always something to do. Lunenburg is the perfect distance away to pop in for a dinner out and explore the town.
Shaune and Greg thought of everything in this home. We truly made amazing memories.
A beautiful property at a convenient location with everything you could possibly need
My family stayed at the Blue House Red Barn for a week. We arrived at the house after a long drive. The moment we arrived, before we even entered the house, my husband said "Wow. I certainly didn't expect this." It's in a very peaceful area and there is a quiet inlet at the back of the house. We went kayaking a couple of times, all by ourselves as there was nobody else on the water.
The house itself is beautifully renovated and equipped with everything we needed. There are four bedrooms. They are not huge but absolutely enough for two people in each room. We cooked quite a few times. There are state-of-the-art appliances and some clever utensils and gadgets in the kitchen. A pretty well stocked grocery store is nearby. If you like to cook, you can feel like a master chef.
If you like eating out, Lunenburg is just 10 minutes away. We went there three times as it's such a pretty town, with lots of places to eat and have ice cream.
It rained on one of the days during our stay. This was when the Red Barn showed itself as the most important feature of this rental. There are so many things you can play to entertain yourself - pool table, a shuffleboard, darts, etc. There is a fresh seafood shack just down the road. We got fresh lobsters, clams, oysters there and had a big feast in the evening. Great family time on a rainy day.
The hosts Shaune and Greg thought of everything to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We really appreciate their thoughtfulness.
My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.Nova Scotia is huge and it was our first trip there. We couldn't see everything we wanted to see. I hope we will go back in the future. If we do, we definitely will want to stay at the Blue House Red Barn again.
Very comfortable, old charm with modern amenities. Close to beaches, towns, shopping, hiking.
