Perfect apartment in fantastic location!
Suited our needs perfectly! Bed was comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, nice terrace with great views! We really enjoyed the quietness of Praiano and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Giovanna's communication is excellent, and we had no trouble finding the apartment as well as finding parking for our rental car.
Tip: do not come to the area without visiting the La Tagliata restaurant - best meal we had on the Coast, and they were all good!
A truly special stay
We felt so fortunate to have such a warm welcome and very attentive host in Praiano. Pasquale was always willing to help us in any way because He really want us to enjoy our stay in the town that I loved so much. The Location was perfect, there were about 85 stairs to get from the unit to get to a walking path and that wasn't bad compared to other places. It was easy to walk to two restaurants and there was a local bus to help get to others. Praiano was situated between Amalfi and Positano so you could choose to take the bus either way.
The unit is extremely clean and comfortable. View from the terrace is absolutely perfect.
We can't say enough about Pasquale, he was so friendly and accommodating. Truly a gentleman in every way.
Absolutely loved it!
A wonderful place to stay, a beautiful and bright suite, with a breathtaking view from the deck! Praiano is so beautiful, and a quieter town, after going to Positano which was very busy and crowded, we were happy to come back to our little piece of paradise in Praiano! There is a grocery and wine store 5 min walk away, and a very nice restaurant too, also more restaurants within 20 min. walk! Just enough steps to get your exercise, then relax on the deck and enjoy the incredibly beautiful view!
Pasquale greeted us with such a warm welcome, he was the kindest, most gracious host ever! And we so appreciate all he did for us! Thank you! Highly recommended, and can't wait to go back!

Charmingly situated on the hillside accessed via a maze of alleys and steep steps, this apartment was our perfect hideaway. The view from the balcony was everything we had hoped for.
Great property, 2 bed, 2 bath with washing machine. Excellent location, amazing balcony view!
Amazing balcony and view

Bed is not very comfortable
Stairs can be too much for elderly
Excellent location if you want peace and quiet. The only noise we could hear was the boats gently bobbing in the ocean. Dont come here if you cant do stairs. When an entire town is built on the side of a mountain with limited roads you must be mobile enough to climb stairs. Bus ride there from Sorrento is crazy with the narrow roads and curvy roads, wife threw up on the way back.
Perfect place to unwind
We have been to the amalfi coast (including getting married there) 6 times now. We have been and stayed everywhere. We went back this year looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing, and we found the perfect place here in praiano.
The apartment has a fantastic balcony and view, great kitchen, including gas cooker (whcih we used a lot) It was absolutely spotless clean and had wonderful neighbours. The bed was very comfortable and most of all it was quiet. We hardly left the place (which is what we wanted, having visited the coast a few times)
It is located not far from a brilliant supermarket which literally has everything including a great wine cellar.
If a quiet relaxing holiday is what you are after and you dont plan on doing too much moving around and sightseeing then this is the perfect spot. We will definitely be going back again. We loved the place.
Paraiano itself lies between positano and amalfi and the local positano bus (5 min walk away) is perfect if you need to go to positano. The SITA bus runs along the main road (10 min walk down paths and steps) between amalfi and positano and runs relatively frequently (although it is always packed as it continues on to sorrento and may not pick you up)
There isnt much to praiano to be honest, and its a bit of a walk away (20-25mins) but we knew that. And there is a fair bit of walking if you want to do anything (most of this will include plenty of steps). Again we were prepared for this. Dont expect a huge range of restaurants.
The beaches are busy but the water perfect.
If you intend 'basing' yourself in praiano to visit the amalfi area (positano, capri, amalfi, ravello) then i would strongly recommend not to do so (especially in august). getting to positano and amalfi isnt too bad, but getting back is a nightmare and can take more then 2 hours (for a 10km trip). Now, we did go in august so its MUCH busier then. Earlier and later in the season it wont be as bad and its less hot too.
Forget about parking in the high season. There are some free parkings spots but youve a better chance of winning the lotto then finding one most of the time.
to re-iterate again, we went this year in august, which is high season and the busiest time of the year. May/june and septmeber are perfect times for the amalfi coast and you will find moving around a lot easier then.
