Family Reunion
Rented this Chalet on the 15 August, 2015 for 1 week. It was for a family reunion for 12 adults It was an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from Montreal through the picturesque Eastern Townships. Our family had a fantastic time at this property. Everything was provided as advertised and exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do this property justice. Everything in this property is luxury and High-End. Everything from the cutlery to the dinning room table says class. Owner was very upfront, and professional throughout the whole experience. The chalet can easily accommodate 12 people, in it's open concept living area there is room for 30. The chalet comes fully equipped and there is nothing to bring except for your clothes. The view of the lake from the living area through its wall of windows is very impressive especially at sunset and sunrise. Plenty of outdoor activities from swimming on the properties long sandy beach to kayaking and the fishing was plentiful with bass, perch, sun fish and the occasional northern-pike. We made good use of their fishing boat that was equipped with an electric motor. There was a trampoline and volleyball net also which we did not use as there were no children in the group. Excellent restaurants and shopping is about 15 minute drive to Magog and there are 2 good golf courses about 10 minutes away in Orford. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful family holiday chalet
Our (winter) stay at this chalet was highly enjoyable in every way. The expansive living room/dining room is perfect for a family. From the moment we walked in, everything was in place and well-equipped. We really lacked for nothing . The open concept, the huge windows overlooking Lac Brompton and the large fireplace were highly appreciated. The long dining room table was also a high light and we enjoyed a number of family dinners together. The open concept allows everyone to socialize while dinner is being prepared. The three bedrooms were comfortable and the den provided yet another sleeping space when we had visitors. The chalet was very well-equipped with linens, towels, etc. The property is very private at the end of a private road. The owner was extremely helpful and accessible during our stay. It was a turn-key experience and a luxury get-away in a beautiful setting that we would highly recommend.

Beautiful Lakefront Chalet
We stayed at this property for a long weekend in July and it was fantastic. I picked this property for our family of 5 that included 3 boys aged 12, 10, 10 because it was a reasonable driving time of 90 minutes from our hotel in Montreal. It felt much more pleasant than in Montreal-where they had a heat wave. I liked that the beach is sandy and the water stays shallow for a long time so the boys could play comfortably in the water. They loved looking for fish, mostly perch near the shore, which they caught and released. They enjoyed rowing on Lake Brompton and my husband added the motor so we toured around the large lake. The BBQ grill and outdoor patio area was very nice, and there was a large, flat grassy area that was ideal for running around and playing ball. There was a fire pit with chairs around it so we had a campfire & roasted Smores at night. There were only a few mosquitoes at night & the boys weren't bothered after they put repellent on. The owner had kindly set up a tent in the woods for us that was accessible by walking on a log over a stream (there was an alternative path for the adults). We slept in the tent for a couple of nights, including 1 night in the rain & it was a lot of fun. The house felt like it was brand new. It was spotless and very spacious. It had stainless steel kitchen appliances, a large dining table, very comfortable living room sofas, WiFi and flat screen TV, as well as washer & dryer. There was an awesome room with video games that my kids played in at night. We found that the house was just as beautiful as in the photos. The listing description was accurate. If someone has mobility issues, they would not need to climb stairs as the master bedroom is on the main level and the dirt path slopes down gradually from the house to the lake. We would definitely want to stay here again and highly recommend this place. It is ideal for a large family reunion-8 adults can sleep in beds, then the kids can sleep in sleeping bags on the soft foam pads provided (there were at least 5 or 6 sleeping bag in the closet). We brought food with us & cooked it at the house as we just wanted to sit and relax & did not travel around Orford. Other motor boats did not come near the property & did not disturb us. The owner, Robert, was very friendly & helpful. He met us at the property when we arrived and gave us a tour and showed us where everything is and how the locks,boats and appliances worked, including the automatic espresso machine!

Luxury at the lake and child friendly
We had an amazing time at this spectacular lakefront home. Immaculately kept, beautifully decorated and with amazing view of the water. Every luxury amenity you could want. Comfortably accommodated our group of 6 adults and 6 children. I was specifically looking for a home that would be safe for the young children and found it to be extremely child friendly- a nice flat grassy area for the kids to play and the water was clean and shallow and extremely safe. The kids (and adults) had a great time full of play and relaxation and were sad to leave. 5 stars and we would love to return next summer!
