Amazing property! Josephine, your house was exactly as described. Tom and Donna were excellent hosts. Close to all Peggy’s Cove has to offer. Thanks!
The home is beautifully restored, very clean, and has a lot of charm and character.
The view of the cove is amazing and a great location for watching the sunsets from the deck.
The caretakers, Tom and Donna, are very friendly and welcoming. They take great pride in the house and it shows. Their restaurant recommendations were also greatly appreciated.
If you are looking for a nice quiet retreat, while still being within a close proximity to restaurants, Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg, this place cannot be beat.
Great location but could use a few amenities.
The house is located in a great spot with spectacular views overlooking this tiny harbor. MUCH better than staying in busy Peggy’s Cove! Amenities were a bit short. If you have several families, the kitchen is quite small with no dishwasher. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms and no condiments except salt and pepper. The washer door was obviously not working properly and needed a wire that was hung from the latch to the outside that had to be tugged on to open the washer.
Great location...Beautiful view
We spent 3 nights at this lovely vacation home. The location is great...very quiet and close to Peggys Cove and many day trip options. The home its self gives the feeling of living in a fishing home...plenty of original wood adds to the charm and offers a warm feeling. The sleeping arrangements were great...3 bedrooms all with own bathroom/shower. The patio offers a barbq and seating to enjoy those not to be missed sunsets. The people living across the road...offered the key on arrival. Very friendly folk with plenty of suggestions. (a local artist...her speciality is horses...and 'yes' we bought a print) The yard is full of wild flowers...lobster traps and East Coast decor. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening adult beverage outside...could not get enough of the beauty that surrounds. We had a lobster boil one evening...Tom told us the whereabouts of the lobster pot and the proper cooking. I wd certianly not hesitate to book this home again if ever in the area. Thankyou to all...we loved our stay!!!

I’d permanently live here....except for the winters!
This cottage was what everyone hopes for when they rent a VRBO. We were a group of 3 couples 50-60+, the fact that there were 3 bedrooms with queen sized beds & each had their own full bathrooms was terrific on it’s own. The cottage is just beautiful & right on the harbour, we left our windows open at night & could here the surf hitting the shore. A couple of us walked to Peggy’s Cove...quite a walk, but doable. I’d stay in this cottage permanently, if I didn’t already know that the winters are horrid...for a sun lover like myself. Tom & Donna were the caretakers & right across the street, any concerns we had, Tom was great to fix. Donna is a great artist & her gallery, in their home across the street was just beautiful.
Clean and comfortable with great views!

This was our first stop on our tour of Nova Scotia and it was a lovely home base for two couples. We saw foggy, cloudy, rainy weather, as well as beautiful clear skies while staying here. As noted by other reviewers, Tom and Donna are delightful hosts and Donna's art is beautiful and very interesting.
The house is as described - a lovingly restored old home with large beautiful bathrooms attached to every bedroom. The beds are comfortable (although the pillows are thin and flat), and the views are very good from every window - lots of windows. The kitchen worked well for us with a refrigerator just large enough to keep a whole flat of strawberries! There is a small stove which we used only to heat water in the tea kettle for tea. There is a coffee maker we didn't use as we did not have coffee with us. A microwave and toaster were also very useful to have. There is no dishwasher but that was not a big deal to us. Four people can get dishes done pretty fast.
We actually spent very little time in the house other than sleeping and eating breakfast and late dinners as we spent most of our time exploring the surrounding areas. This is a good spot from which to do that and I would highly recommend this home.
