A superb week at Deganwy !
A very nice place with superb views of Conwy castle and snowy Snowdonia !
Thanks to Robert for the delicate attentions awaiting us on arrival.
Brilliant Location for Sightseeing
What a lovely property for a week of exploration. The apartment is located just across from the station and there are local cafes and shops to walk out to. You can walk along the beach from here and necessary supermarkets etc. are a couple of minutes away.
The apartment itself was perfect for us. A large lounge/diner, with wonderful views of Conwy Castle and the estuary. We could sit there all day on the window seats, just watching the boats. A large, fully equipped kitchen (though we didn't do much cooking), a lovely master bedroom with ensuite - again the views are gorgeous, though please note this is a normal double bed and not larger. The room facing onto the patio has two single beds. A little road noise to the front but you can't want a central location and expect it to be silent. The mattresses are honestly the best we've ever experienced - all three of us agree!
There's a nice patio to eat outside and we were lucky enough to have amazing weather. Cai, the owner popped by to make sure we were happy with everything but didn't intrude.
Other reviews were helpful and told us there are some steep stairs and they're right. Some steps up to the apartment and then the stairs to the bedrooms are pretty steep. If you have no issues with mobility however, we would fully recommend this property to explore the Conwy region.
We had a great time-cannot beat the views! Cai was over right away when we couldn't get in and the parking permit across the way was very helpful. Would go again!
North Wales Gem
Cai has provide an excellent holiday in Deganwy. The location opposite the railway provides option for rail or car travel with ease. From the windows you can look out towards Conwy Castle and this makes a wonderful backdrop in the evening. The water views are also wonderful to watch. The home itself is spacious, although some may find the stairs to the bedroom a little steep, but this in no way should put you off staying here if you are able to negotiate stairs. To not stay may deprive you of a great holiday experience and a great host in Cai. For those wondering if the restaurant below is a problem with noise, we found this not an issue and if anything it was a pleasure thinking that people below where enjoying a meal in Cai's restaurant.
If in the area we will be-book and stay again. It was a great place to stay.
Well equipped. Comfortable. Great views.
Have stayed here a number of times. Really handy for lovely walks around the estuary. Easy parking. Relaxing stay.
Just had a brilliant few days in North Wales complemented by the accommodation we stayed in. This 2 storey maisonette was very spacious, had everything needed for a short self catering break and had some nice personal touches like a bottle of red wine on arrival and sweets for the kids. The only downside is the fact you have to go up a fairly tight staircased entrance and it has no private parking, although you can park in the car park opposite with the pass provided. It is also quite cold accomodation, even with the heating on it's not the warmest although there is an electric fire which gets the downstairs warm enough. The view from the front is amazing though, you can see Conwy Castle and the whole place is very comfortable and relaxing.
