Great location great concierge service, but ...
Great location: Condo huge; pretty entry/grounds: safe. Those are pluses. Concierge was great and super helpful which meant a LOT - only saving grace. But: no maid service 9 day stay (normal in this area); not enough towels, requested more, never got. No beach towels. Condo seen better days - water damage throughout esp to floors which are splitting; kitchen units crooked - doors bump each other. Countertops delaminating. Oven crooked, only three knobs on it/operating. No hairdryer, found out when we needed it! Concierge loaned us hers. Funky plumbing: guest bath shower flooded bathroom and water went into bedroom (towels used to sop up water - hence request for replacements which never came). Damage to concrete bath vanity tops which can catch. Faucets kitchen, 1/2bath; guest shower, all need fixing. No tea-towels in kitchen on arrival; no paper towel; no trash bags; no Seran-wrap/storage containers. Those items we supplied within 24-48 hrs. Requested Roach spray as we had cockroach thru apartment 2nd night - no spray provided. Kitchen equipment very basic. No extra pillows. We managed and were fortunate we weren't there much, but for a family or three couples sharing and eating at home, this would be a problem and a pain. (There is 3rd bed/sleeping area on mezzanine so will easily accommodate 6). Location is ideal - concierge very helpful and available/responsive, but clearly only so much she could do/spend to rectify/help. Will not stay again unless the apartment is radically overhauled/upgraded and services/esp linens, basic supplies and kitchen equipment brought up to standards other holiday rentals in the area. Overall, disappointing- could NOT fault concierge and not her fault. Insufficient information - no book on hand even to tell you where/when to put/take trash, or how to operate things - instruction book electric kettle - no kettle!? TV wasn't working 1st night and took 2 visits/next day to rectify. Hard work for concierge. We traveled a bunch out of area and long days so weren't there much - would not have worked for us if we'd been home more.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave such detailed feedback, Pippa. We really do appreciate the opportunity to make changes and continually get better. We provide 2 towels per guest but beach towels are not a listed amenity, the leak in the pipe has been repaired, the oven is in good working order, the home has an open shower as shown in the photos, pest control has been added, and we stock the home with 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 rolls of paper towels. We are delighted to hear you had a great experience with our property manager as she truly is terrific to work with. We hope to host you again soon!
There are things that could be better about this location. However it’s what is done to fix them them that matters. Our property manager, Claudia, was fantastic. She was attentive to our needs. She made our stay memorable. And the location - you can’t get a better location
