The region is renowned for hiking and rock-climbing boasting the climbing spots of '3 Pignons', 'Cuvier', 'Apremont' and 'Gorges de Franchard'. You can also find one of the top Hippodromes in France, making Fontainebleau a first class destination for horse riding. Just a stone's throw away you will find everything you need from bakeries, butchers, greengrocers, wineshops to supermarkets; there are also 3 markets a week for those after fresh and local produce which run on a Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
